About Us
The business started as a tree nursery with a seed and cone plant. Today, NW Agro is exclusively a seed and cone plant. The pine and spruce cones are collected from local cone pickers. The seeds are extracted and tested for germination potential. The kiln drying process ensures that the seeds are disease free. The seeds are used by northwestern Ontario forestry companies to grow tree seedlings for re-forestation. There are five cone varieties comprising three product types.
